PU prof delivers talk in China

CHANDIGARH:Prof Bhupinder Singh Bhoop from University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), and who is also coordinator, UGC Centre for Excellence in Nano Biomedical Applications, delivered a series of three talks during two-day Asia- Pacific Pharmaceutical Science Summit Forum (APPSF).

Chandigarh, January 17 

Prof Bhupinder Singh Bhoop from University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), and who is also coordinator, UGC Centre for Excellence in Nano Biomedical Applications, delivered a series of three talks during two-day Asia- Pacific Pharmaceutical Science Summit Forum (APPSF). The event was held from January 9 to 10 at Shanghai, China. 

Prof Bhoop stressed on the immense utility to adapt to the modern, systematic and rational paradigms of Quality by Design (QbD), not only to unravel the scientific minutiae underlying the development of generic drug products and pharmaceutical processes, but also for their smooth regulatory compliance across the pharma world. 

Special viewpoints expressed by Dr Bhoop were lauded during the Indo-China conclave of representatives from pharmaceutical industry from each of the countries. 

China is the second biggest producer of pharmaceuticals across the world, while India ranks at fourth place in generics. 

Acclaimed globally for his scientific work, especially in the domain of novel nano medicines using QbD, Prof Bhoop has earned to his credit over 360 original publications, 15 books, five patents and tech-transfers of two nano structured drug delivery technologies to the pharma industry.
