Scholar’s cup from tomorrow

MOHALI: The third edition of the Annual World Scholar’s Cup 2018 will be hosted in the city by Learning Paths School, Mohali, from April 21.

The third edition of the Annual World Scholar’s Cup 2018 will be hosted in the city by Learning Paths School, Mohali, from April 21.

The Tribune will be the media partner for the two-day event which will see participation of more than 370 students from 30 schools across the region. Recognised as a global academic tournament, the competition combines debate, collaborative writing, multiple choice tests and quizzes.

Noted international speaker Dylan Kroft, scholar at the 2016 Bangkok Global Round of Cup, would be speaking at the event. Vishal Verma, World Scholar’s Cup programme Director, said: “The core idea behind this two-day summit is to motivate students to focus on their skills. This year’s theme is ‘An Entangled World’. The students have to research on the subject and submit a thesis at the end of the meet.”

Robin Aggarwal, Director, Learning Paths School, said: “The aim and endeavour of the scholar’s cup is to facilitate holistic development of students and help them become 21st century leaders.”
