Chandigarh, June 12

A newly formed Sufi ensemble, Soul’s Diet, performed during a musical programme, organised by the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi, at Tagore Theatre here today.

The lead vocalist of the ensemble are Gurleen and Vikram. Gurleen opened up with ‘Khwaja Gulam Farid’s kalam’, ‘Mendha ishq vi tu’, followed by Meera Shah’s ‘Muddata guzar gaiyaya’.

Other members of the ensemble are Palak, Gurjant Handa and vocal support Prakash Nepali ji, Rajesh, Gurdeep and Manish.

Akademi Chairman Kamal Arora welcomed chief guest Bheem Malhotra, Chairman, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi.
