Two accused get police remand

CHANDIGARH: A court today sent two accused in the murder case of Pawan Saho, 24, to one-day police remand.

Chandigarh, February 13

A court today sent two accused in the murder case of Pawan Saho, 24, to one-day police remand.

Saho was stabbed to death by Raju, Rahul and two juveniles at Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, on Saturday night. Saho used to work as a cook at a private hotel in Panchkula. Raju and Rahul were sent to juvenile home on Monday itself.

The victim was returning home from work on a cycle when the accused stopped him near a Community Centre. The victim was thrashed and stabbed with a sharp weapon on his chest leading to his death. The incident led to panic in the area following which police teams were rushed to the spot.

The police said there was a CCTV camera installed near the spot in which three miscreants are seen thrashing the victim.

A case under Sections 302 and 34 of the IPC was registered against unknown persons at the Mauli Jargran police station on the complaint of victim’s brother Lakshman Saho. — TNS
