Round Glass Sports (RGS) suffered a heartbreak as they went down 1-0 to hosts Youth Football Club (YFC), Rurka Kalan, in the AIFF U-18 Youth League (Punjab Zone), here on Tuesday.

Arshdeep Singh scored the winner for YFC in the 88th minute of the match.

Man-to-man, both teams were at par, though YCF enjoyed vociferous support from home fans every time their players got a touch to the ball. Playing under pressure, RGS did well to keep calm and played as a cohesive unit for most part of the match.

After playing out a goalless first half, RGS boys, following the break, started looking for an opening in right earnest but were unable to break down the YCF defence.

With the clock ticking, the match appeared heading for a draw, but in the 88th minute Arshdeep found the mark to put the home team 1-0 ahead.

RGS tried to make amends in the dying moments, but they simply ran out of time on the clock.

RGS will be now travelling to Pathankot to play against United Punjab Football Club on December 8. — TNS
