There is a huge wild growth in the undeveloped/uninhabited area next to the Garden of Springs in Sector 53. This is the same area where a girl was gang raped in November last. Chandigarh Tribune had highlighted the issue in these columns on July 18, but no action has been taken to date. This area must be cleared of wild growth at the earliest. —Charu Malhotra, Mohali

No end in sight to stray cattle menace

Stray cattle rule the roads in Sector 46-C, Chandigarh. It is sad that the Municipal Corporation’s department concerned does not act to check this menace. Stray cattle can be seen roaming freely on streets, roads, markets and parks. When will we get rid of stray cattle and stray dog menace in the so-called City Beautiful? RK Kapoor, Chandigarh
