CBI case registered against firms for criminal conspiracy

NEW DELHI:The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case on a complaint from the Ministry of Home Affairs against private companies, NGO and and other persons for violation of FCRA 2010, criminal conspiracy, forgery, etc.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case on a complaint from the Ministry of Home Affairs against private companies, NGO and and other persons for violation of FCRA 2010, criminal conspiracy, forgery, etc.

The case was registered against Advantage India, Accordis Health Care Private Limited, Deepak Talwar, Sunil Khandewal, Raman Kapoor, MD in Accordis Health Care Private Limited and M/s. T. Kapoor, Consultant, a statement issued by the CBI said.

“The complaint relates to the allegations of misutilisation of foreign contribution received under the Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme for the purpose of carrying out educational and social activities in India”, the statement said.

It said, “The funds were allegedly received mainly from a foreign-based company to the tune of Rs.90.72 crore in the bank accounts of a New Delhi-based private firm registered under the foreign contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 for carrying out social welfare activities in the field of education.”

Searches were conducted today at 11 places on the premises of the accused which led to a recovery of  incriminating documents.
