New Delhi, June 20

Temperatures settled within comfortable levels following incessant overnight rains in the national Capital even as high humidity made life difficult for Delhiites.

The Safdarjung observatory, whose recording is considered official for the city, recorded 28.2 mm rain while areas under Palam, Lodhi Road and Aayangar observatories recorded 9.8, 23.6 and 11.6 mm rain, respectively in the past 24 hours till 5.30 pm.

The Ridge received a heavy rainfall of 73.2 mm during the same period, said a MeT department official.

The maximum temperature settled at 32.2° C, six notches below the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 23.2° C, five notches below normal.

Humidity, on the higher side today, shot up to 100 per cent while on the lower side it settled at 62 per cent.

The MeT office has predicted overcast conditions with a possibility of few spells of rain and thundershowers for tomorrow.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 32° and 22° C," the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27° C, while the maximum settled at 39° C. — PTI
