Court extends executive members'' poll date

NEW DELHI: City court today asked executive board (EB) members of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) to submit their affidavit for getting vacated the stay order for executive board members election on Jan 23.

City court today asked executive board (EB) members of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) to submit their affidavit for getting vacated the stay order for executive board members election on Jan 23. The gurdwara committee today went the court to submit resignations of its executive committee members and sought permission for its election.

Independent member of the committee, Gurmeet Singh Shanty had taken stay order for the election that was to be held on Jan 19 saying that election before time and without vacancy is illegal.
