New Delhi, May 19

Damandeep Singh, who left Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) led by Sarna brothers, today announced to have formed a new party, United Sikh Association (USA) — working for betterment of the Sikh community and to help the needy.

Damandeep was president of the youth wing of SADD. He has resigned from the party saying that he wanted to serve the community. Majority of the parties are working to get hold of the DSGMC. USA has no motive to be active in gurdwara politics, he said. Damandeep desires to help the community children for education and health. The USA has approached the Life Insurance Corporation for getting health insurances of poor people of the community.

The poor people are unable to fight in court of law. Many girls are lured by NRI Sikhs. They marry the Indian girls and leave them. The USA will help such people in getting justice. — TNS
