Maken welcomes BSP leader in Congress fold

NEW DELHI: Welcoming to a large number of BSP leaders in its fold from Kondli in the Pataprganj area, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Maken said for nearly past four years, the country had been witnessing the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the RSS who had been trying to inflict a big blow on the democratic values of the country at the grass-root level.

Welcoming to a large number of BSP leaders in its fold from Kondli in the Pataprganj area, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Maken said for nearly past four years, the country had been witnessing the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the RSS who had been trying to inflict a big blow on the democratic values of the country at the grass-root level. The BSP leader, Manoj Kumar, today joined the Congress with around 100 supporters.

Maken said country had always followed the path of tolerance with a big heart.

He said thinking of the Congress party is to take all kinds of faith along and when all the faiths, communities, castes and creeds are taken along then only will the country attain progress and development.

He said after independence, the country witnessed the rise of different political ideology which got into power in a hurry, but the people of the country suffered during their rule, and after that the Congress party came to power with a big majority as people of the country understood that the Congress was the only party which could provide a stable, efficient government which could ensure development and progress.
