2 minor boys hurt in road mishaps

CHANDIGARH: Two minor boys were injured in two separate accidents in the city.

Chandigarh, April 27

Two minor boys were injured in two separate accidents in the city. One of the victims was injured after a mare on which he was sitting was hit by a motorcycle on April 18 and the other who was a pedestrian was hit by a car.

According to the police, Balwan Singh, a resident of Sector 25, alleged that Anil Kumar of Sector 25 took his son Sonu (15) with him to a marriage function at Kaimbwala, on a mare. Kumar was taking the complainant’s son to another function in Sector 27 and made Sonu sit on the mare. Kumar was riding a motorcycle that hit the mare following which the victim fell on the road leading to injuries.

The victim’s father made a complaint following which the police registered a case against Kumar on April 26, at the Sector 3 police station.

In another incident, Laxman Kumar, a resident of Hallo Majra, alleged that a car driven by BS Sandhu, a resident of Phase II, Mohali, hit his son Rahul (9) near the Poultry Farm Chowk on April 24.

The victim was crossing the road when the accident took place. He was admitted to the GMCH-32. A case against the accused driver has been registered at the Sector 31 police station.
