DEHRADUN: The fate of 37 candidates was sealed in ballot boxes till August 30, as the polling for the students'' union elections in DAV PG College concluded here today.

The fate of 37 candidates was sealed in ballot boxes till August 30, as the polling for the students' union elections in DAV PG College concluded here today. Except a few tense moments and a group clash, the polling was largely peaceful.

The voting began at 9 am today and concluded at 2 pm. As many as 3,433 students, including 1,229 girls, cast their votes. The election results will get declared on Sunday.

Election commissioner Ajay Saxena said, “There were four zones and 19 booths for polling. While one zone and nine booths were earmarked for girls, the remaining three zones and 10 booths were for boys. The total vote percentage was 27.9 and the results will be declared on August 30”.
