Separatist amalgam headed by Syed Ali Geelani today said it had called an executive meeting of its constituent members later this week.

They said the meeting would be held on Sunday. “After a long spell of six months all constituent members will discuss the prevailing situation in the state,” the separatist group said. Geelani will preside the meeting and general secretary Shabir Ahmad Shah and all other members are expected to attend the proposed meeting, the amalgam’s spokesman said.

The spokesman added that the police administration had restricted all social and political activities of Geelani. The meeting has been called at his residence.
