Governor administers oath to new CIC

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on Friday administered oath to new Chief Information Commissioner Yash Pal Singal and State Information Commissioner Narender Yadav at the Raj Bhavan here.



Chandigarh, April 28

Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on Friday administered oath to new Chief Information Commissioner Yash Pal Singal and State Information Commissioner Narender Yadav at the Raj Bhavan here.

Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu, Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Santosh Yadav, and other senior officers of the state government were present on the occasion.

Singal is an IPS officer of the 1983 batch. He was awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2001 and President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Services in 2010.

He also served as the Chief of Haryana Police, Chief of State Vigilance Bureau, Chief of Prisons and Chief of Intelligence of the state. — PTI
