Philately exhibition

Suresh Kumar Sharma, Superintendant of Post Offices, said the Postal Department would organise a philately exhibition at the Head Post Office on December 19 and 20. Prominent philatelists would exhibit their collections on the occasion.

Rally on Dec 18

Punjab Aided School Teachers Union District President Savinderjit Kaur said the union would organise a rally on December 18 against the non-fulfilment of their demands. The demands include 30 per cent arrears, grade pay for lecturers, Class IV, lab assistants and librarians, etc.

Honour for doctor

Dr Vivek Saggar, a leading implantologist and dentist of the region, has once again won the prestigious “Famdent Clinic of the Year” award for his clinic ‘Dental Care & Cure Centre,’ at a function held in Mumbai on Sunday night. This is the second time in a row that he has won this award in India.
