BILASPUR: Left-out Bhakra Dam oustees have a reason to cheer as Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today announced to allot plots to them within four months during the Statehood Day function here.

Left-out Bhakra Dam oustees have a reason to cheer as Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today announced to allot plots to them within four months during the Statehood Day function here.

The CM also made various announcements, including upgrading several health and educational institutions, new roads, buildings and bridges for Bilaspur district and gave sub-tehsil status to Kalol in the Jhanduta Assembly segment.

For better connectivity of Bilaspur town with the areas on the other side of the lake, the CM announced to construct a new bridge at Beri-Darola and another at Bagchal.

He also announced upgrade of primary health centres (PHCs) at Kudera and Panjgain to the Community Health Centres, besides upgrade of primary school at Patta, middle school at Sihra and Baharnauta to high schools.

He also announced starting science classes at Senior Secondary School Bandla in Bilaspur Assembly segment.

The CM announced upgrade of middle school at Marotan, Gaah, Baala and Chaunta to high schools in Jhanduta Assembly segment. He also announced upgrade of primary school at Dholag to middle school and high school at Baloh to senior secondary school. The CM announced to upgrade high schools at Chat, Panoh and Salaun in Ghumarwin Assembly segment to government senior secondary schools. He also announced upgrade of government middle school at Bhapral, Gahar, Chuwari, Dawala and Liun to high schools in Ghumarwin Assembly segment.

The CM announced upgrade of Mehnthi school in the Shri Naina Devi constituency apart from opening new school at Baag Fagalwaat in GP Solda. He announced upgrade of primary school at Bhandokhar and Nayai Sarli to middle schools. He announced the opening of office of the tehsil welfare officer at Swarghat and construction of a sub-tehsil building at Namhol.

Besides, the CM also announced the upgrade of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Talai to the Community Health Centre in Jhanduta. He also announced a new PHC at Susnaal and Karyalag in Ghumarwin Assembly segment.
