Man found dead in Sukhna waters

CHANDIGARH:The body of a 45-year-old man was found floating in the Sukhna waters under mysterious circumstances last evening.

The body of a 45-year-old man was found floating in the Sukhna waters under mysterious circumstances last evening.

Sources said visitors noticed the body and informed the police, who took out the body. The victim was taken to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The sources said the victim had been identified as Kamal Gulshan, a resident of Sector 44. He had left the house in the morning. The police suspect it to be a case of suicide. However, no suicide note was found from the victim’s possession.

Inquest proceedings have been initiated in the matter.
