The Top Gun Brigade of the Army today organised a medical and veterinary camp at Padam in the Zanskar valley of Ladakh.

A total of 250 civilians and 80 animals were treated at the camp, said defence spokesperson Col SD Goswami.

A team of Army doctors from the Forever in Operations Division and Veterinary Field Hospital, Kargil, screened and checked the civilians and their animals, said Colonel Goswami.

Medical aid and medicines were provided to the villagers and their animals, the spokesperson added.

The function was presided over by Skalzang Wangyal, executive councilor of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council.

Wangyal appreciated the efforts of the Army in conducting events that help in the development of the remote areas of the Zanskar valley. — TNS
