Haryana CM to attend kabaddi cup closing

Badal (Muktsar), December 18

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister of State for Sports Sarbananda Sonowal and Revenue Minister of Iran, along with Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, would be the prominent guests at the closing ceremony of the ongoing World Cup Kabaddi at Badal village in Muktsar district on Saturday. This will be the first visit of Khattar to Punjab after becoming the Chief Minister of Haryana.

Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal visited the sports stadium at Badal village to review the preparations for the mega event this evening. Keeping in view the prevailing foggy conditions, he directed the officials concerned to hold the cultural programme at 3 pm and start the final matches at 4 pm.

Punjabi singers Gippy Grewal, Miss Pooja and Arif Lohar (from Pakistan) will entertain the public. Satinder Satti will anchor the event. Two bikers from the USA will perform a stunt on the occasion. A laser show will also be organised.

Tejinder Singh Dhaliwal, Director, Sports Department, said, “As of now, no Bollywood star is schedule to perform at the closing ceremony.”
