Raturi is U’khand DGP

DEHRADUN:Anil Raturi, a 1987 batch IPS officer, today took over as the new DGP of Uttarakhand.

Anil Raturi, a 1987 batch IPS officer, today took over as the new DGP of Uttarakhand. Raturi succeeds MA Ganapathy, who has been sent on deputation to the Centre. 

Earlier, MA Ganapathy was given a warm farewell by his colleagues at the Police Headquarters. 

Raturi is the tenth DGP of Uttarakhand. He has served as DG (Vigilance) and was senior most officer in line for the post. Raturi will retire in 2020.

He belongs to Ratura village in Rudraprayag. So far three former DGPs belonged to the state. Raturi is the fourth DGP to come this far.
