Snatching incidents on the rise in city

Patiala: Rising incidents of snatching in the city have worried residents. Recently, two mobile phones were snatched from residents in separate incidents.

Rising incidents of snatching in the city have worried residents. Recently, two mobile phones were snatched from residents in separate incidents.

In the first case, two motorcycle-borne youths snatched a mobile phone of a person when he was talking on his phone near Madhu Nursing Home here.

In another incident, a phone was snatched from Karandeep Singh near the number 24 railway crossing.

Instead of registering separate cases, the police registered a single FIR in both cases. Besides such incidents, theft cases are also on the rise in the city. In the past few months, more than 12 cases of theft had been reported from various areas of the city.
