Stone of ayurvedic hospital building laid

NURPUR: Local MLA Ajay Mahajan laid the foundation stone of much-awaited government ayurvedic hospital at Suliali near here today.

Local MLA Ajay Mahajan laid the foundation stone of much-awaited government ayurvedic hospital at Suliali near here today. Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh had announced the construction of this 10-bed hospital here during his previous regime.

After laying the foundation stone of the hospital building, the MLA said Rs 1.10 crore would be spent on its construction. He said the hospital would provide ayurveda health services to thousands of people of surrounding gram panchayats.

He said a number of development works had been started at Suliali during the past three years. Listing these works, he said Rs 70 lakh on the Suliali-Barari link road, Rs 11 lakh on the facelift of the historic Dibkeshwar temple, Rs 10 lakh on the construction of the government rest house, Rs 20 lakh on the construction of the science block building of government senior secondary school (Suliali) were being spent.

He said 35 solar lights had been provided in Suliali town and Rs 17 lakh would be spent on the veterinary dispensary building, Rs 47 lakh and Rs 55 lakh would be spent on the Nera irrigation and Nagni-Dev Barari irrigation schemes, respectively, in Suliali gram panchayat.

On the occasion, he thanked Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh for earmarking adequate funds for carrying out various proposed development activities in the panchayat.
