Major General, General Staff, Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Shimla, Sanjiv Bajaj presided over the annual function of Pinegrove School, Subathu, today.
He exhorted the students to excel in life and inspected an impressive parade.
The children presented cultural performance which also included gymnastics, chair-work, horse-work and a field dance. The impeccable performance of the students was highly appreciated. The parents also had an opportunity to witness the creative skills of their wards at an art and craft exhibition.
Apart from the ensemble of the Indian and western music, the main attraction of the cultural programme was the Hindi play ‘Tyag’.
The chief guest later gave prizes to the winners of various academic and co-curricular activities. The winners included Sarthak Dhingra and Sungmin Choi, who received gold medals, Keshav Gaba, Nikhil Mittal and Urja Jindal bagged silver medals and Lovepreet Singh Sandhu and Hemant Singla were honoured with bronze medals for their exemplary performance in Class XII CBSE board exams this year in Science and Commerce field, respectively.
A total of 24 students from Class X were also awarded medals for proficiency in academics for their stupendous performance in the CBSE board exams. Deodar House earned the Cock House trophy.
