Internship and training platform, Internshala wiil be organising summer internship fairs in five tier-II cities across India. The internship fairs would bring internship opportunities exclusively for the students pursuing BA, BCom, BSc, BBA, and other similar degrees. The first internship fair will be held in Jaipur on April 7, 2019, followed by Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, and Kochi in the coming months.

“Despite the economical and technological advancements, the emerging India is facing an issue of skill gap and unemployability. Limited employment opportunities are available for students, especially from non-technical educational backgrounds, tier-II/III cities, and villages of India. Through this initiative, Internshala aims to help improve the employability of students and spread awareness on the power of internships in building a successful career among the student communities”, said Sarvesh Agrawal, founder and CEO of Internshala.

The summer internship fairs would offer in-office, part-time, and virtual internships across various profiles like content writing, business development, marketing, social media marketing, and operations.

To attend the offline internship fairs, students from non-technical backgrounds from each of the five cities have to register for each fair online.

The top 200 applicants will be interviewed during the offline internship fair in each city. Additionally, various seminars and workshops will be held for the students during the internship fairs. Apart from this, Internshala will recognise colleges with maximum participating students with a certificate during the fairs. — TNS
