Terrorist hideout busted in Ramban; huge cache of arms seized

JAMMU: The Army on Saturday busted a terrorist hideout in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir and seized huge quantity of arms and ammunition.



Jammu, February 13

The Army on Saturday busted a terrorist hideout in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir and seized huge quantity of arms and ammunition.

The troops of Rashtriya Rifles battalion along with the J&K Police busted a militant hideout in the dense forest of Bajpathri area in Ramban district, a defence spokesman said.

They seized huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including three pistols with magazines, 2042 rounds of AK-47, 25 rounds of sniper rifle, five hand grenades, five magazines of AK-47, two radio sets, one weapon sight and other sustenance stores, he said.

The hideout is believed to be of militants who have been killed in the past by security forces.

The General Officer Commanding Delta Force complimented the troops who took part in the operation and commented that the recovery of this huge cache is in continuation with the sustained efforts of Delta Force, the spokesman added. — PTI
