Two arrestedwith 550 Corex bottles

The police today arrested two drug peddlers and seized 550 bottles of Corex from their possession in the town.
District Drug Control Officer Sandeep Hooda said accused Ajay and Shubham were caught on a tip-off from outside Balaji transport office here. He said a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against the duo. Sources said that the drug peddlers were active in the area and used to procure Corex bottles from Delhi and supplied it to youth hooked to drugs at more than double the price. Chief Medical Officer Dr Randeep Singh Poonia said that the department was keeping a strict vigil on the illegal trade of drugs. —TNS
