Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (Airy) president Pushpesh Tripathi today said the party would start the ‘Shanknad Yatra’ from June 1 to protect the state from the BJP and the Congress.

While addressing mediapersons at the party office here, Tripathi slammed the BJP and the Congress for treating Uttarakhand as a political battlefield.

He said the ‘Shanknad Yatra’ campaign would begin from Dehradun on June 1. The party workers would cover the Garhwal region till June 6 after which they would visit the Kumaon region till June 15. The party would expose the real face of both parties, he said.

The UKD leader also criticised the attack on BJP leader Tarun Vijay. He said the upcoming Assembly elections would be a historical event for the state after which the reign of the Congress and the BJP would come to an end. Senior leaders Kashi Singh Airy and BD Raturi were also present on the occasion.
