The pilgrimage to the Kedarnath shrine has been completely suspended following landslides at Jungalchatti triggered by heavy rains.

According to the state disaster response force, vehicular movement is disrupted on Rishikesh-Kedarnath NH-109. There are reports of mudslides and landslides along the Char Dham Yatra route.

Vehicles are not being allowed to go beyond Sonprayag. A landslide was occurred at Cheerbasa between Gaurikund and the Kedarnath shrine pedestrian route. Incessant rains have also triggered landslides at Kodiyala on Rishikesh-Badrinath NH-58 and Munni-ki-Retti. Sirobagarh near Dhari has been declared a danger zone as big and small boulders continue to fall down, thereby posing a threat to the lives of commuters. Meanwhile, there is no disruption in vehicular movement on the Rishikesh-Gangotri and Rishikesh-Yamunotri national highways except for a stretches where boulders blocked traffic for a few hours.

BRO officials said JCBs and bulldozers had been pressed into service to remove the debris from the middle of roads on the Char Dham Yatra route.
