Rohtak, July 4
A team of the CIA-2 wing of the district police has arrested six gangsters, including three most-wanted criminals, in an armed encounter.
Six country-made pistols, 19 live cartridges and two vehicles – a Creta and a Baleno – were seized from the arrested persons.
Addressing a news conference here on Wednesday, Rohtak SP Jashandeep Singh Randhawa said the arrested persons were involved in as many as 29 cases of murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, loot and extortion etc.
“Three of them – Rahul, alias Dada, Vineet, alias Tirchhi, and Sombir, alias Chhatri, have been arrested for the first time ever since their entry in the world of crime,” the SP said, appreciating the efforts of the CIA-2 wing.
He said the CIA-2 in-charge sub-inspector Azad Singh got a tip-off last night that Rahul and his accomplices would go to Sampla via Samchana and Bhaisru by cars.
A team led by ASI Manjit Singh was rushed to the location. The team installed a naka on the Samchana-Bhaisru road and starting checking the vehicles. After some time, a Creta and a Baleno car approached the naka.

They were booked under Sections 186, 353, 307, 34 of the IPC and under the Arms Act and arrested,” Randhawa stated.
