While other political parties are grappling with nitty gritties of micro-managing voters in Haryana on the eve of the Assembly elections, AAP’s central leadership is fire-fighting alleged rumours that it has decided to extend support to other political parties.

Speculations on AAP having taking a decision to support nominees other political parties at some constituencies has been doing the rounds, particularly 72 hours before the electioneering came to an end yesterday evening.

“Rumour mongering is afoot by vested interests, especially by political parties about AAP’s support to them. We appeal to our cadre to be on guard and dispel all such rumours. The central leadership of the party is keeping a watch on the situation,” said AAP MP and Haryana in-charge Sushil Gupta here on Sunday.

“The mischief is being enacted, especially in constituencies where AAP has not filed candidates,” Gupta said, and added that his party was focused on striking it rich in Haryana in the elections.

The party has subsequent plan to short-listed and harnessed dedicated workers from the state for the upcoming assembly election in Delhi, scheduled for February next year.

AAP is making a debut in assembly elections in Haryana. It has fielded 46 out of the total of 90 constituencies in the state.

AAP electoral alliance in Haryana has been on a roller coaster in the past. It had tied up with JJP for the 2019- Lok Sabha elections and contested at three constituencies. But the two parties failed to open account. Subsequently, it walked out of the alliance to go solo in the assembly elections.
