Baby slips out of mother’s arms, dies

Ambala: A nine-month-old baby boy died after slipping out of her mother’s arms when they were coming down in an escalator at the Ambala Cantonment railway station here on Thursday.



Ambala: A nine-month-old baby boy died after slipping out of her mother’s arms when they were coming down in an escalator at the Ambala Cantonment railway station here on Thursday. According to information, Dhyani Devi along with her two children and husband had arrived here from Lucknow this morning. They had to catch a bus for Chandigarh. When they were coming down in the escalator at the railway station, the baby slipped out of her mother’s arms and fell down. GRP and other railway officials reached the spot on getting information about the incident. The baby was rushed to the Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantonment, where he was declared brought dead. The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem. — TNS
