PANIPAT: The police have registered four cases against a Delhi-based builder, Splendor Landbase Limited, on the charge of cheating people of lakhs of rupees.

Panipat, January 10

The police have registered four cases against a Delhi-based builder, Splendor Landbase Limited, on the charge of cheating people of lakhs of rupees.

Pawan Kumar Gupta of Old Housing Board Colony here, in his police complaint, alleged he and others had booked three flats in a housing society, which was to be developed by the builder, in 2010 and deposited Rs2 lakh each for a flat. But the builder shelved the project and, instead, launched a new one in 2013, he alleged.

Rahul Chandna of Sector 53 in Gurugram, in his complaint, alleged he had booked two apartments and deposited Rs30 lakh to Splendor Landbase Ltd in 2010, but the company did not give the possession of the flats. When he demanded his money back, the builder threatened him, he alleged.

Narender Sachdeva of Panipat alleged he had booked an apartment in the name of his wife and deposited Rs2.4 lakh as the booking amount, but the builder neither gave him the allotment number and nor constructed the flats.

The police registered four cases against the builder under Sections 406, 420 and 506 of the IPC. — TNS
