Gurugram, December 10

Three thieves pulled off a Bollywood-style multi-lakh heist in the city’s famous PC Jewellers.

The thieves reportedly made their way to the showroom through a hole in the roof and penetrated the strongroom and fled with gold and silver jewellery, the value of which had yet not been calculated.

The police said the thieves smashed the CCTVs and then stole the ornaments. Though the heist was carried out last night, it was in the morning when the employees reached the showroom to open it that they noticed the theft.

They called the showroom owners, who informed the police that reached the spot with a forensic team and dog squad.

Till the filing of the news report, the losses could not be calculated as inventory was being checked and the police was interrogating the night guard.

“We have registered an FIR on the complaint of the store manager and pressed many teams to nab the accused,” said Subhash Bokan, public relations officer, Gurugram police.
