In Ambala, 71 held for theft in 2 months

AMBALA: The district police have arrested 71 persons wanted for 41 theft and snatching cases in the past two months.

Ambala, June 10

The district police have arrested 71 persons wanted for 41 theft and snatching cases in the past two months. They recovered 33 motorcycles, mobile phones and cash from them.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohit Handa said on Monday the district police had stepped up patrolling, besides launching a checking drive to keep tabs on the movement of criminals, anti-social elements and suspicious persons.

He appealed to residents to cooperate with the police for maintaining law and order. “This is the time when people go on vacations. They must follow simple dos and don’ts and keep their neighbours, landlords, tenants and local police informed before leaving,” the SP added. — TNS
