Drug case: Ex-MLA’s son sent to Children’s Home

SUNDERNAGAR: The Juvenile Justice Board on Friday sent the son of former Congress MLA from Bilaspur Bambar Thakur and another minor to the Una Children’s Home till June 27.

The Juvenile Justice Board on Friday sent the son of former Congress MLA from Bilaspur Bambar Thakur and another minor to the Una Children’s Home till June 27. They were produced before Amardeep Singh, Principal Magistrate.

Four persons, including the former MLA’s son, were arrested with 498 gm of charas on June 20. The vehicle from which the contraband was recovered was being driven by the former MLA’s son.

Although a bail application was filed on behalf of the minors, the court fixed the next date of hearing on June 27 and sent the two minor accused to the Una Children’s Home.

The police have registered a case under the NDPS Act.
