Hamirpur, December 15

“The exit poll results being projected by the electronic media are far from reality”, said Prem Kaushal, spokesman of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee, here today.

He said the true picture would be reverse and the Congress would form the government in the state. He said the results being telecast on various TV channels were manipulated. He said there was no anti-incumbency factor in the state and atmosphere was in favour of the Congress. He said there was neither the Modi wave nor BJP wave in the state. He said the Congress government had done a lot of development work in the past five years under the leadership of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and he would again take the reins of the state with a comfortable majority in the Vidhan Sabha. Prem Kaushal said the BJP leaders were expert in false propaganda and it might have influenced the electronic media. He said there had been issues regarding tampering of EVMs, but it was the responsibility of the ruling government to ensure that the elections were conducted fairly.

He said all claims of the BJP leaders and projections of exit poll would prove wrong as it had been in the past elections in many states. He said instead of making noise the BJP leaders should wait for December 18.
