Govt gives nod to 16 industrial proposals

SHIMLA: The State Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority (SSWC&MA) has approved 16 proposals for setting up new industrial units and for expansion of existing units involving a total proposed investment of Rs 309.45 crore. It is likely to generate about 1,000 jobs.

The State Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority (SSWC&MA) has approved 16 proposals for setting up new industrial units and for expansion of existing units involving a total proposed investment of Rs 309.45 crore. It is likely to generate about 1,000 jobs.

A statement issued here on Sunday stated that the authority had approved 16 proposals of the companies which would set up units in Baddi, Damowala, Una and Kala Amb. The units range from processing and clothing to covering for electric vehicles and motorcycles.

Industries Director Hans Raj Sharma conducted the proceedings of the meeting which was chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

Industries Minister Bikram Singh, Chief Secretary BK Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Principal Secretary to CM Dr Shrikant Baldi, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Manoj Kumar, Principal Secretary (Excise and Taxation) JC Sharma and other officials were present in the meeting.
