Mazdoor sangh to protest in Shimla on September 17

NURPUR: The Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has announced to hold a protest on September 17 in Shimla to pressure the state government to fulfil its demands, for which a 21-point charter has already been submitted to Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

The Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has announced to hold a protest on September 17 in Shimla to pressure the state government to fulfil its demands, for which a 21-point charter has already been submitted to Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the state executive committee at Fatehpur here. State BMS vice-president and Kangra district Non-Gazetted Officer (NGO) president Madan Rana presided over the meeting.

Rana said the BMS had given its demand charter to the CM in July and he had assured them that he would meet them, but nothing had been done so far..

He said 10,000 employees and workers from the IPH, PWD and Forest department along with ASHA and anganwari workers, would take part in the protest.
