Mutual transport agreement inked

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh on Monday signed a mutual transport agreement in Lucknow to extend their inter-state transport services.

Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh on Monday signed a mutual transport agreement in Lucknow to extend their inter-state transport services.

Forest and Transport Minister Govind Singh Thakur said it would prove to be an effective step in providing better and convenient transport facility to the people of all three states. Due to the efforts of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the agreement was signed.

The minister said after 1985, it was for the first time that such kind of agreement had been signed between Himachal and Uttar Pradesh, which was a must from economic, cultural, tourism and trade point of view. Yogi Adityanath called up Thakur to thank him. — TNS
