KANGRA, SEPTEMBER 22

Transport, Technical Education and Food and Civil Supplies Minister GS Bali today stressed on drug-free society and asked the youths to become self reliant to strengthen the state and the country as a whole.

Bali was in conversation with the youth of different villages of his constituency Nagrota Bagwan under ‘Yuva Samwad’ program today. Bali said the state government was committed to provide technical education besides skill development to the youths of the state in order to develop their personality for better future.

He said unemployment allowance was being given to the unemployed youths whose family has an annual income less than Rs 2 lakhs. With a medical college, an engineering college, a number of ITIs polytechnic colleges and a pharmacy college Nagrota Bagwan had become a hub of education.

He said job-oriented education was being imparted to the youth of the state as it was a priority of the government. Training centres had been opened in the state for the purpose.

He told youths to stay away from drugs as these were adversely affecting the youth of the state and both boys and girls were getting affected by this menace.

Bali heard the grievances of the people of Sarotri, Baba Bharoh, Gheena and Japhard and sorted out some of the issues on the spot and directed officers to sort out the rest immediately.
