4 houses destroyed in fire at village in Doda

SRINAGAR: At least four houses were completely destroyed in a major fire, which broke out at a village in Goha tehsil, 45 km from Doda.

At least four houses were completely destroyed in a major fire, which broke out at a village in Goha tehsil, 45 km from Doda.

SSP Doda Mohammed Sharif said there was no loss of life and the loss of property is yet to be assessed.  

The fire spread fast and engulfed the timbered houses. Villagers ran out of their homes in panic as the blaze swept.

The cause of the fire is yet to be found. As the houses were made of wood it caught fire immediately.

Rescue operation on.  More details awaited.
