JAMMU: The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Teaching Association and Non-Teaching Association said the establishment of a horticulture/veterinary university in the state would not be acceptable at the cost of advance centres and veterinary campus of SKUAST, Jammu.

The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Teaching Association and Non-Teaching Association said the establishment of a horticulture/veterinary university in the state would not be acceptable at the cost of advance centres and veterinary campus of SKUAST, Jammu. Association president Dr Vikas Sharma, in a meeting on Sunday, said such decision would paralyse and impede the functioning of already existing/acclaimed agricultural university of Jammu division. Plantation drive

A plantation drive under the banner “Green Campus-Clean Campus” was organised at The Law School, University of Jammu, on Sunday. The event was led by Abhishek Kaith, student activist, and his team. TNS

Lecture delivered

The Indian Dental Association, Jammu branch, in association with 3M ESPE on Sunday conducted a daylong lecture and hands-on programme, which was attended by more than 80 dental surgeons from across the state. Dr Prashant Hatkar was the resource person. He spoke regarding the esthetics in dentistry and use of composite dental material in direct veneering of the teeth. TNS
