Jammu, April 23

As a part of its campaign to impart first-aid training to people living in border areas of Jammu, the Indian Red Cross Society organised a one-day camp at Marh on Monday.

It was held in collaboration with the Sewa Bharat Trust to provide basic training to the villagers, especially the youth, to deal with natural disasters and battlefield causalities due to cross-border firing.

“The idea is to impart special training in border areas to inform people about what to do in case of any disaster. A series of events are planned,” said Dinesh Gupta, honorary secretary, Red Cross. The next event will be held at Government Middle School, Galwade Chak (Marh). — TNS
