Clouds bring cheer among residents

Cloudy weather since morning and light rain in parts of the city today brought some respite to the city residents from the scorching heat of the past couple of weeks. The temperature today plummeted to 38 to 40 degrees Celsius due to cloudy sky. Speaking to Jalandhar Tribune, an elderly person Jagtar Singh from Urban Estate said he was having tough time while gong for walk in the morning or to market. But today I enjoyed the morning walk, he added.

The markets were thronged by customers in the afternoon due to the cool weather. Following the tough weather conditions, many parents have been asking for early school hours. — TNS
