Flights from airport in Adampur will start soon: DC

JALANDHAR:As more than 70 per cent of construction work of a domestic airport at Adampur is complete, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma today said flights from the airport would start soon.

As more than 70 per cent of construction work of a domestic airport at Adampur is complete, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma today said flights from the airport would start soon.

The DC, who visited the site of the project, said the project would be a big boon for the overall development of the region in general and Jalandhar district in particular. He said more than 70 per cent of the work on the project had been completed. He added that the remaining work would be completed within coming 10 days. 

Sharma expressed complete satisfaction on the ongoing work and said it must be completed before the stipulated deadline.

The DC visited the under construction passenger lounge at the terminal where he was apprised that almost entire work on the project had been completed.He was informed that the lounge would be given a finishing touch soon after which it would be available for operations.
