The Phillaur police have busted a gang of robbers identified as Amandeep of Kotkapura village, Rajbir Singh of Pakhi Kalan village (Faridkot), Manvinder Singh and Davinder Kumar of Phillaur. DSP Philaur Amrik Singh Chahal said the arrested robbers have confessed their involvement in looting the Western Union office in Phillaur on Wednesday from where they snatched Indian and foreign currency at gun point.
The DSP said the accused were nabbed at a check point under Section 392 of the IPC near Phillaur, yesterday.
