India rubber expo to be held in January

JALANDHAR: All India Rubber Industries Association on Tuesday organised a press conference here and announced that Asia’s largest rubber expo would be held in Mumbai in January 2019 to address the issues faced by the rubber industry, which is one of the most important industries of the country.

All India Rubber Industries Association on Tuesday organised a press conference here and announced that Asia’s largest rubber expo would be held in Mumbai in January 2019 to address the issues faced by the rubber industry, which is one of the most important industries of the country.

India rubber expo (IRE) 2019 is in the leap to meet the international standards.

Vikram Makar, chairman of the Indian Rubber Expo (IRE), and also the chairman and MD of Oriental Rubber Industries Pvt Ltd said Indian rubber expo would see some of the biggest names in the industry come under one roof which would present an opportunity for small and big rubber business owners to work and exchange ideas.

HS Chitkara, a city-based business man, who is also an ambassador of IRE said there were 400 units of rubber industry in Jalandhar, which had reduced to 150.

“We want the Government to help us, we are doing our best by organising such events,” he added.
