Seechewal visits Italy’s eco garden

JALANDHAR: Around one lakh varieties of plants have been planted at the nursery run by noted environmentalist Balbir Singh Seechewal at Sultanpur Lodhi.

Around one lakh varieties of plants have been planted at the nursery run by noted environmentalist Balbir Singh Seechewal at Sultanpur Lodhi.

Seechewal gave this information during his interaction with the management of Italy’s biggest botanical garden ‘Gruppo Padana’ during his recent visit to Europe. During his stay in Italy, Seechewal exchanged views with the management of Gruppo Padana on environmental issues.

The management of Gruppo Padana said every year, around 10 crore varieties of plants are exported to different countries of the world. They said around 2,000 varieties of plants, including flower and vegetables, are present at this botanical garden.
