A cricket match was organised bythe local administration in collaboration with Lovely Professional University at the LPU Campus on Sunday. The theme was “Play for good health, vote for healthy democracy.”
The team Admn Phg XI comprised officers from the administration led by Dr Jai Inder Singh, SDM, whereas the team LPU comprised mostly students. The reason for choosing cricket as a medium to raise voter awareness was to connect with the students as well as the staff of LPU which has a strength of approximately 20,000 student and staff members. Admn Phg XI scored 115 runs in 16 overs. LPU scored 116 runs in 15.3 overs to win the match.
